FAQs
Do blackwork tattoos hurt more than regular tattoos?
Blackwork can feel more intense because large areas are packed with solid colour, but the experience varies from person to person. Sessions are paced carefully, and breaks are always available.
How many sessions will a blackout or full sleeve take?
It depends on the size of the area, your skin type, and how detailed the negative-space design is. Most large pieces take multiple sessions, which I map out during consultation so you know exactly what to expect.
Will my skin heal differently with such heavy saturation?
Fully saturated black heals beautifully when aftercare is followed properly. You can expect the area to feel tighter and slightly warmer during healing, but this is normal. I’ll give you personalised aftercare instructions before you leave.
Can you add blackwork over an old tattoo?
In many cases, yes. Blackwork can cover or reshape older pieces, but it depends on the age, colour, and placement of the existing tattoo. I’ll assess it during the consultation and recommend the best approach.
“Really professional from start to finish. Listened to what I wanted but also improved the idea massively. The healed result is unreal.”

“Couldn’t be happier with the piece. Clean lines, solid blacks, and super chill to sit with. Already planning my next one.”
